The Yadkin County Retired College Personnel has given the Fred C. Hobson Scholarship to 3 college students within the Yadkin County College System. Hobson was the superintendent of Yadkin County Colleges for 32 years and was an enormous a part of the neighborhood being energetic in his church, the Historic Society, and the Council on Growing older. The three scholarship winners this 12 months are Ruby Nelly Carachure-Arroyo from Starmount Excessive College, Annah Reese Smitherman from Forbush Excessive College and Megan Michelle Wagoner from Yadkin Early School.
Ruby Carachure-Arroyo lives together with her mom, Maria Arroyo, and on Vanhoy Rd. in Yadkinville. Throughout Ruby’s highschool profession, she has accomplished a Profession and Technical Schooling Internship with the first grade courses at West Yadkin Elementary College. Whereas in highschool, she has been twin enrolled in three Surry Group School courses. Two of these courses have been within the discipline of Early Childhood Schooling. As she has taken these programs and accomplished her internship, she has determined that she desires to pursue a level in Elementary Schooling. She plans to attend UNC-Charlotte within the fall. She ran observe and discipline in her freshman 12 months. As well as, she has labored within the meals service business.
Annah Smitherman lives together with her dad and mom, Rodney and Jennifer Smitherman, and on Boring Street in East Bend. Annah has labored as a babysitter, and within the meals service business.
